Description
That first snap when you break the bark tells you this one has serious crunch. Red, White & Blue Skittle Crunch Bark is often saved by readers looking for a bold no-bake dessert idea that stands out on dessert boards.
Ingredients
- 4 lb white chocolate block, chopped, or 1 large bag white chocolate chips
- 2 handfuls pretzel sticks, coarsely chopped
- 5 Oreos, coarsely chopped
- 3/4 cup red, white, and blue Skittles
- 2 to 3 tbsp red and blue sprinkles
Instructions
- Lightly spray a rimmed baking pan, about 9×13 in, with nonstick spray and line it with parchment paper, letting a little hang over the sides so you can lift the bark out later.
- Add the 4 lb white chocolate block or white chocolate chips to a microwave-safe bowl.
- Microwave for 1 min, then stir really well, even if it doesn’t look melted yet.
- Continue microwaving the white chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring every time, until it’s fully melted and smooth. Don’t rush this part or the chocolate can seize.
- Pour the melted white chocolate onto the prepared pan and spread it evenly with a spatula, aiming for about 1/4 in thickness.
- Sprinkle the 2 handfuls of chopped pretzel sticks evenly over the chocolate, followed by the 5 chopped Oreos and the 3/4 cup of Skittles.
- Gently press the toppings into the chocolate with your hands or the back of a spoon so everything sticks once set.
- Finish by scattering 2 to 3 tbsp red and blue sprinkles over the top.
- Let the bark set at room temperature for about 30 to 45 minutes, or pop it in the fridge for 15 to 20 minutes if you’re short on time.
- Once firm, lift the bark out using the parchment paper and break into pieces.
