Store bought french bread dough – enough for one bread
1 x 79g container of French fried onions
1/4 – ½ stick of garlic butter
±150g sharp cheddar cheese
Proof the dough in an oily bowl till well risen
Grease or spray your baking tin
Cut/slice off smallish chunks of dough
Pack random layers as follows:
Pieces of bread dough
Crushed french Fried onions
Cut the brick of butter in thin slices and then each slice into 4 cubes and dot with 4-6 per layer
Sprinkle with cheese
I made three layers, ending with cheese and also decorated with dried parsley
Cover the baking tin again and set aside to rest a bit while you get your oven ready
Bake in a preheated oven at 350F for ±25 minutes, or until the tooth pick comes out clean.
