Hi, Esme. Well, I thought snowshoes were like tennis rackets attached to the bottom of shoes. Obviously, I am not correct in my thinking! It looks like in the picture they are miniature skies. Now I am curious, I am on my way to Google this!!
Thank you for sharing your post at Gma’sPhoto ge•ner•ic Linkup Party #12.
Take care and best wishes.
Merry Christmas!
Hi Debra
One do get the Modern tubular aluminum-framed, neoprene-decked snowshoes as well as the Classic wooden-framed, rawhide-latticed snowshoe (metal frame components and coarse weave) and I guess you’re thinking of the classic one.

That looks like great fun. I’ve never used snowshoes, but I can imagine they could be hard work for the muscles in your feet and ankles, which is a great way to keep fit.
Hugh, great fun and an awesome workout for sure, although I must admit this being our first time we did snowshoeing, we decided to take it easy and walked more than actually snowshoeing.
Beautiful shot. Hubby used to do this each winter. He’d go for miles and miles.
Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Hugs. ♥
We had lots of fun Snowshoeing. Thanks for coming over
