Steak Mince Pilau / Pilaf

Pilaf is a dish in which rice is cooked in a seasoned broth. Today we share Steak Mince Pilau / Pilaf

In some cases, the rice may attain its brown or golden color by first being sauteed lightly in oil before the addition of broth.

3 cups Sella basmati rice
1 cup McCain mixed veggies
500 g Pure steak mince
strands of saffron
2 onions cut into thin slices
1 teaspoon garlic and ginger
1 heaped teaspoon methi masala, Gorimas biryani masala, jeera, garam masala, turmeric, and Suhana mild Kashmiri chili powder
salt to taste
6 potatoes cut into quarters

Method:
Boil rice in salted water with the mixed veggies and saffron too.
Drain and set aside.

Braise onions in oil.
Take out a few to mix with rice for later use.
Add well rinsed and drained steak mince, spices, and potatoes.
Cook until potatoes are soft

Mix braised sliced onions with rice.
Add half of the rice to a pot that was greased with butter pieces.
Pour the minced mixture over the rice.
Add other rice over the mince mixture.
Simmer until all mince sauce is cooked away.
Serve with hard-boiled eggs and salads.
And garnish with fresh Coriander / Dhaniya
