Sweet Sausage and Potato Curry

A ☆☆☆☆☆ 5-star recipe just for you!

Ingredients:
12 sausages, boiled till soft, then quartered.
4 potatoes, peeled and quartered.
¼ cup white sugar… you can use less if you don’t want the curry to be sweet.
1 onion, finely chopped.
½ tsp garlic and ginger paste.
1 tsp Bombay masala.
½ tsp turmeric powder.
¼ tsp dhania powder.
1 tomato, grated.
¼ tsp jeera powder.
Salt to taste.
Fresh coriander to garnish.

Method:
Heat some in a pot.
Add the onions and saute until transparent.
Add the salt and ginger and garlic paste.
Add the spices, sugar, and grated tomato.
Stir well so that everything is nicely coated with the spices.
Add a little water to create a nice sauce.
Add the quartered potatoes and cook until almost soft.
You can add more water to the potatoes.
Once they are almost soft, add the sausages with a little more water.
Cover and cook until the potatoes are fully cooked.
Garnish with coriander.

Hi Daniel. Bombay Masala is a zesty & spicy mix of over a dozen Indian spices. The leading flavors of warming paprika, chili and tart citrus-like mango powder meet with coriander, ginger and more spices to round out this unique blend.

      1. Wow, sounds good. I’ve never used it or seen it in London. Do you have the mix by any chance and I’ll make up a batch myself.

Hi Daniel – As far as I can find out it is a mixture of Paprika, Chili Pepper, Coriander, Amchur (Mango), Black Salt, Himalayan Salt, Cumin, Ginger, Black Pepper, Ajwain (Carom), Cardamom, Cinnamon, Cloves, Allspice, Mace, Nutmeg but unfortunately I am unable to figure out the quantities used to make it. I believe you can source it from Amazon on the internet. Hope you find it.
