Ingredients:
3 1/2 cups cake flour,
1/2 tsp salt,
50 ml sugar,
1 pkt 10 g yeast,
60 g melted butter or margarine,
1 extra large egg beaten lightly,
150 ml lukewarm milk,
50 ml lukewarm water.
Method:
Place all dry ingredients in a bowl.
Add melted butter/Margarine, water and milk and incorporate into a dough.
Knead dough for 10 mins.
Place dough in a lightly floured surface, cover with greased cling wrap and leave to rise for 15 mins.
Knock down the dough and divide into 12 equal balls.
Shape each ball in a long log shape by rubbing between oiled hands.
Leave to rise until double in size.
Deep dry in hot oil until golden brown on med heat.
Once cooled, slit the doughnut down the middle, spread with a line of jam and pipe whipped cream inside, a cherry and sprinkle with icing sugar.

All doughnuts just in time for Chanukah- a traditional cake to eat on this festival of the lights (normally round ones but for me, a doughnut is a doughnut )! Fantastic

I’m not much of a baker, but i think we will have to try this one soon. My daughter loves helping in the, kitchen now so she will love this. We even got her a little apron with a chefs hat and her own sized utensils for Christmas
That will be just fantastic. Would love to see her with her apron and cheft hat and busy baking. Have fun and Enjoy

Great, please link me on the post, that will be super awesome. Looking forward to that post and picture.
Will do!
They sound good and easy. What about using custard instead of whipped cream. Any recipe for custard?
Custard will also be perfect: https://cookandenjoyrecipes.wordpress.com/2016/07/10/ess-kahlua-custard-nests/
I have included one I made, and feel free to omit the kahlua.
The other option would be to check out the following and see what will work best for you.

I will reblog this if I can make it first. I have always wanted to make doughnuts.
Perfect and thank you for reblogging. I loved and enjoyed eating them, but as we prefer to stay away from deep oil prepared foods, this is a no no for me.
Me too. Need to have guests.
