    • We had a tough time to catch and release this one, but in the end we did catch it in a large net and then released the little one. We were afraid to hurt it but all went well.

  1. I’ve heard of birds getting into homes before. My grandmother was very superstitious about birds and said it was bad luck to have one come inside the house. I hope no bad luck comes your way, Esme.

    • Hi Hugh, We had no bad luck with this little one. This visitor came in the house I would say 4 years ago. Never knew about the bad luck superstition regarding birds coming into the house.

    • Hi Lydia. No dog in our case, the front and back door stood open, warm day, and this fella decided to pay us a visit, but then was unable to find its way out again, and we had a hard time to catch it, as we had a split-level apartment and obviously it went up and up and no way to get out. We eventually managed to catch, but the poor bird was so tired. We were lucky to catch it without harming it.

  2. Beautiful bird. Not sure why it’s uncommon, but it’s a great capture.
