Waffles with syrup and oil instead of butter for a quick breakfast, snack, or dessert
- 2 cups cake flour.
- 1 tbsp. baking powder.
- ½ tsp salt.
- ¼ cup castor sugar.
- 1½ cups milk.
- 2 eggs.
- 1 tsp vanilla essence.
- ¼ cup olive oil.
In a bowl, mix the cake flour, salt, baking powder, and castor sugar.
Add the milk, eggs, vanilla essence, and oil.
Whisk until smooth and there are no lumps.
Ladle some of the batter into a preheated waffle iron.
Cook until golden brown on both sides.
Serve with a drizzle of maple syrup.
