Yellow savory rice not only tastes awesome but also looks delicious with some added veggies as well
- 1 cup raw rice.
- 1 tsp turmeric powder.
- 1 cup mix veg, boiled till cooked, drained, and set aside.
- 1 onion, sliced.
- 1 tsp ginger and garlic paste.
- 2 tsp masala.
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder.
- 2 cinnamon sticks.
- Salt and pepper to season.
In a bot, boil the rice with water, salt, and turmeric till cooked, drain and set aside.
In a wok, heat some oil, add the onions, and saute over medium heat till soft.
Add ginger and garlic and the cinnamon sticks and give it a good stir.
Add the masala, salt, and pepper, mix so that the onions are nicely coated.
Add the mix veg and mix so that the mix veg also gets coated with the spices.
Finally, add the rice and mix well so everything is nicely combined.
Allow the rice to get hot, before removing it from the stove.
Sprinkle the cinnamon powder over the top and top with a blob of margarine.
