Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 tins of chunk tuna in water (170g each)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 finely chopped medium-sized white onion
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Oyster Sauce
  • 1 tsp concentrated lemon juice (bottled)
  • 1/4 tsp coarse salt
  • 1/4 cup dry unflavored breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • Dash Lemon Pepper
  • Dash Aromat

Instructions

  1. Drain the water from the tuna.
  2. Finely chop the onions.
  3. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients with a fork.
  4. Divide the mixture into 5 equal portions, about ½ cup each.
  5. Shape patties and press by hand into ± 1-inch thickness.
  6. Cover a plate with some cooking spray and place patties on the plate and leave it in the fridge for 15-20 minutes to firm up.
  7. Place patties in a silicon air fryer container (3 and then 2 for the second batch) and lightly spray some cooking spray over the top of the patties. You can use oil if you prefer.
  8. Don’t overcrowd them, as you should be able to leave room to flip them over halfway.
  9. Air fry at 375 F for 15 minutes (depending on your own Air Fryer), flipping after about 7 minutes, approximately at the halfway mark.
Air fry until they have a nice brown and crispy top.
  10. Take out the first batch, set them aside, and proceed with the rest until all the patties have been cooked.
  11. Serve immediately with some salad on the side.
