What is Apo Appam Crepes

Appam is a South Indian pancake dish, made from fermented rice paste and coconut milk, common in the southern Indian states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala, as well as the island nation of Sri Lanka. It can be made and served in both sweet and savory varieties, with a layer of creamy coconut milk or a sunnyside-style fried egg in the center of the appam. Appam is usually served for breakfast or dinner.

What is a Tava

In India, tava or tawa is a commonly used frying pan in many kitchens. Also known as a tawah, thawah or thavah, the pan is round and varies in diameter from between 8 inches to 12 inches. It can be up to a meter wide in some professional kitchens.

Apo, Appam, or crepes, I do not know if you know this, I didn’t, but my mom-in-law asked me to make some. I didn’t even know you have to soak it overnight until I read the recipe, I used her recipe, and she loves it.
