What other than chocolate bars, chocolates, and chocolate gems can you use to decorate a Beautiful Heart Shaped Rich Coffee-Chocolate Cake.
- 2 cups of plain flour
- 1 cup Castor sugar
- 4 egg yolks
- 2 egg whites
- 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder
- ½ cup of coffee
- 1 teaspoon of instant coffee powder
- ½ cup Milk & cooking oil together
- 1 teaspoon Baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder – Mix all together well
Mix flour, sugar
Mix egg yolks and whites well together
Add cocoa powder and blend well
Mix coffee and instant coffee powder in a separate cup
Add the milk and oil and blend well with the coffee mixture
Add baking soda and baking powder and fold in and mix well
Blend all together until no lumps are visible, but be gentle and do not overmix
Preheat oven 180C / 350F
Microwave as per instructions and bake/microwave the mixture in the mould for 30-40 mins (I’ve used silicone mould in the microwave)
Let it cool down for a few minutes.
Take it out from the mould.
I’ve decorated with chocolate bars, chocolates, gems (because that person loves #chocolates)

This sounds delicious, Esme. I will try it but baked in the oven and not the microwave.
