Ingredients
- 2 cups mixed berries (half blueberries, half blackberries)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp cornstarch
Instructions
- Add half the berries, ¼ cup water, all the sugar, and lemon juice to a pot.
- Stir and bring it to a boil.
- Lower the heat and let it gently bubble for 7–10 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch into the remaining ¼ cup of water until smooth.
- Pour this into your berry mix and stir. It’ll start to thicken.
- Now add the rest of the berries.
- Let it cook on low for 3 more minutes.
- Done! Sterilize your jars or bottles, pour in the sauce, seal, and store in a cool place.
Tips:
- You can make a big batch (like 10 pounds of berries!) and enjoy it for months.
- Tastes amazing on ice cream, pancakes, waffles, or as a cheesecake topping.
- Want to use it on cheesecake? Mix 1 cup of the sauce with 1 packet of gelatin dissolved in warm water. Stir well, spread on top, and chill until set. So good.
Great for gifts… if you don’t eat it all first.
