Delicious Butterscotch Squares with Coconut and Marshmallows

Butterscotch Squares with Coconut and Marshmallows

A perfect treat for any occasion!

Can you freeze butterscotch squares?

Sure, you can freeze squares. To freeze, layer the squares in between parchment paper so they don’t stick together. When taken out of the freezer, they thaw fast too.

Is Butterscotch the same as caramel?

Butterscotch and caramel are both cooked sugars, but regular caramel is made with melted granulated sugar and butterscotch with brown sugar. Butter and cream are usually added to make a caramel or butterscotch sauce, the pourable format most people with a pulse enjoy over vanilla ice cream.

What can I use instead of butterscotch chips?

Caramel chips would be a swell substitute for the butterscotch chips in the aforementioned seven-layer bars. Naturally, they would also be right at home in nearly any kind of drop cookie or blondie.
