COCONUT FLOUR AND FLAX SCONES are made with coconut flour and flaxseeds

Also Low carb, gluten-free scones with sugar-free berry jam and cheddar cheese

Yield: Makes 4-5 medium-sized scones

Coconut Flour and Flax Scones

Heart shaped Coconut Flour and Flax Scones with Sugar Free Jam and grated cheese

Low carb, gluten-free scones with sugar-free berry jam and cheddar cheese. The scones are made with coconut flour and flaxseeds.

Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 15 minutes
Total Time 20 minutes


  • 2 tblspns coconut flour
  • 4 Tblspn blonde flax seeds (or flax meal / flax powder)
  • 1 tsp xylitol or sweetener of choice to taste
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tblsp butter
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • A crack of sea salt
  • ½ cup milk


Combine all the ingredients in a food processor and whizz until smooth.

Grease your muffin tin/ramekin.

Pour the batter into the dish.

Bake at 200C for about 15 mins or until a toothpick inserted in the center
comes out clean.

Makes 4-5 medium-sized scones.
