Notes

What goes with Biryani?

The biryani is a meal in itself. Served usually with raita, or gravy by the side, like a salad that tastes great with the meal. Pickled onions and cut cucumbers as well are served along with the biryani meal. Most often, in many households, biryani is a special weekend meal made on Sunday afternoons for lunch.

Thank you to my dear friend, Talat Islam from Racingtigers for pitching in and sharing a guest post here on EsmeSalon.

This aromatic Vegan Biryani is easy on the gut, is child friendly, and presents a wonderful play of colors and flavors. You’ll be surprised how little oil is actually used to prepare an otherwise grand biryani that might require triple the quantity of oil.
