Argentinean chimichurri is made with chopped fresh parsley, oregano, garlic, olive oil, vinegar, and red pepper flakes. A colorful and flavorful addition to grilled meats and more, chimichurri sauce takes just 10 minutes to make.

What Does Chimichurri Sauce Taste Like?

If we could only use one word to describe chimichurri sauce, it would be “bright.” The combination of fresh cilantro and parsley packs an herbaceous flavor, while the red pepper flakes bring a hint of spice.

Description

Dinner last night was fillet steak, grilled halloumi, corn & eggplant salad served with a classic Argentinian chimichurri sauce.


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 Bunch Flat Leaf Parsley
  • 1 Bunch Coriander
  • 3 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon Fresh/Dried Oregano
  • 1/2 cup Olive Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon Lemon Zest
  • 1/3 cup Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Red Chillies Flakes
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Add parsley, coriander, garlic, and oregano into a food processor and pulse until fine.
  2. Pour in olive oil and vinegar and stir.
  3. Season well and add in lemon zest and chili flakes.
  4. Enjoy!!
