Description
Skip the oven and freeze this Ice Cream Bombe instead. Vanilla, Oreos, nuts, and cherries make every bite a win.
Ingredients
- 1 tub vanilla ice cream (the creamier the better), ± 1 liter
- 1 tub whipped fresh cream, ± 2 cups lightly
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts
- 1/2 cup chopped almonds
- 1/2 cup mixed dark and white chocolate chips
- 10 cherries, chopped
- 1 packet crushed Oreo biscuits, ± about 24 cookies
- Chocolate ice cap, for drizzling
- Fresh fruit or nuts, for garnish
Instructions
- Let the ice cream soften for about 2 hours until thick and creamy.
- Stir in the whipped cream.
- Mix in the nuts, chocolate chips, cherries, and Oreos until everything is coated.
- Line a round salad bowl with cling wrap and let the wrap hang over the edges. Spoon in the mixture and cover.
- Freeze overnight.
- To serve, place the bowl in hot water for a minute, then invert onto a plate. Remove the cling wrap.
- Drizzle chocolate over the top and decorate with fruit or nuts.
