Preshana's Whole Wheat Scotch Pancakes

Its Shrove Tuesday (Pancake day) in the U.K.
Ingredients
150g Wholewheat self raising flour
3/4 tsp baking powder
5 tsp caster sugar
1 large eggs
3/4 – 1 cup milk
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
3 tsp oil
a little vegetable oil
Method:
Sieve the dry ingredients into a bowl
Place oil, milk, oil and vanilla essence in a measuring jug and mix well.
Make a well in the middle and add liquid ingredients.
Beat well until the mixture has the consistency of thick batter, adding a touch more flour or milk if its needed.
To cook, heat a large frying pan over a medium heat with a dash of vegetable oil.
To make sure I get evenly sized pancakes, use 1/3 cup measure to portion the batter into the pan.
In the pan, guide the batter into a circle.
Once bubbles start to appear on the top of the pancakes, they’re ready to be flipped.
Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side.

As I have a 5 admins helping with the FB page one of them may have approved her request if she did sign up, so not sure. Sorry, give me her name again, then I will be able to check on the members list.

          1. Wow,that’s impressive. I thought you just did it. It must be pretty busy. Her name is MaryLee Tonkoshkur. I think I spelled that right, not sure. I asked you this in previous question. Disregard.

Thanks dear, we do our best and with the new diet my husband agreed to do it with me so that’s a huge help and motivation to stay on track

                    3. That’s true. My boyfriend has problems and now my cousins husband. He even quit smoking.

Good for quiting smoking. Fortunately never done that. Have your boyfriend look at the Dukan Diet

                    5. No, he was thinking of the keto, I think that is what it is called. I haven’t heard of the one you mentioned. I will look it up.. Thanks for the suggestion.

You will find sone keto recipes here on the blog as well. Just type keto in the search to find them.

I am sure you will find many other groups. I hardly belong to any other groups, I try to keep up with my own and the blog, Pinterest and Instagram on a daily basis. That’s enough for now. I also work full time, have a husband at home so my time for other groups I had to cut down on. No use belonging to a group and then a silent member.

                    8. That’s my problem, I am pretty much a silent member. I do less than you do and I still can’t find the time. I think my writing takes more time because I have to come up with an idea and then write something that sounds good.. It takes me along time to write something.Writing doesn’t come easy to me, but I like to be challenged.

Yes, as my FB members post to the group, I just blog their recipes on their behalf, much quicker and easier. To each his own.

                    10. cookandenjoyrecipes

Yes, but then I still try to create from scratch my own recipes and post them. Love to do that
