Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 roll of Ready-made Puff Pastry
  • 250ml fresh cream
  • 1 Tsp icing sugar
  • Milk for brushing
  • 1/4 cup or so of nuts depending on your own taste
  • ±1/4 cup sugar depending on your own taste

Instructions

  1. To create a delicious pastry dessert, you will need fresh cream, icing sugar, and some nuts for sprinkling.
  2. Begin by defrosting the pastry and cutting it into your desired shapes.
  3. Brush the pastry with milk and sprinkle on the nuts and a bit of sugar.
  4. Then, place it in the refrigerator for 30-60 minutes before baking at 200C / 400F
  5. Bake for approximately 10 minutes or until it’s slightly browned.
  6. Once it’s done, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool.
  7. Next, make the cream by first placing an aluminum bowl and whisk in the freezer for 20 minutes.
  8. Then, take them out and pour the cream into the bowl.
  9. Whisk it until it thickens, and then add the icing sugar.
  10. Continue whisking until it becomes stiff, and then place it in the refrigerator for another 30 minutes.
  11. Once the pastry is cold, slice it gently and smear the cream on top.

    1. Hi Stephanie, Oh wow, thanks for letting me know and the honor of featuring this post. I will be there tomorrow for sure.

  2. Funny how it has never occur to me to make cream horns! I’ve made desserts with puff pastry but clearly lacked imagination. My mom used to get one nearly every time she went grocery shopping. She loved them!

    1. Morning Linda. One do not think about all the possibilities and when you see it it’s like oh my why did I not think of doing that. Hope you do try out the cream horns. Enjoy it

  3. Yep, I am drooling! 🙂 These look absolutely divine and are one of my favourite naughty treats! I tend to buy them as opposed to making them – I should really, though I may eat them all! 😉 Sim x

  4. Our granddaughter just brought us something similar last night that she had made. But she flavored the cream filling with pumpkin. But cream puffs are one of my all-time favorites!
