Shortbread or shortie is a traditional Scottish biscuit usually made from one part white sugar, two parts butter, and three to four parts plain wheat flour. Unlike many other biscuits and baked goods, shortbread does not contain any leavening, such as baking powder or baking soda.

Description
You have to make these scrumptious shortbread biscuits, with melted Cadburys chocolate, dipped half in chocolate, sprinkled with pecan bits.
Ingredients
- 200g butter
- 1/2 cup castor sugar
- 1/4 cup icing sugar
- 1 cup corn flour
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 cup oil
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
Instructions
- Beat both sugars and butter until light and fluffy
- Add the oil and beat again.
- Add vanilla essence and mix
- Sift in both flours
- Make into a soft dough
- Press into a well-greased baking tray
- Prick the surface with a fork
- Bake at 160C / 320F for 25 minutes or until its golden brown in color
- Remove from the oven, sprinkle with sugar
- Cut into pieces, allow cooling
- Enjoy
