Firstly: 3 Reasons why to join #151 Senior Salon
- Most, if not all of you, have been blogging for some time, be it a year or 10. We all have something to share with our fellow bloggers that can be of benefit to them. Not only a blog post we share in the linkup but valuable blogging knowledge, guidance, assistance with a question, support, and fellowship.
- We make new blogging friends through this medium which we will otherwise not have known existed and forge new relationships with like-minded bloggers in our own niche.
- We learn of new products and services from others which helps us on our way to becoming better bloggers and oftentimes a better human being.
Now you tell us why did you join #151 Senior Salon today?
I know I said 3 reasons, but there are many many more, so please leave your reasons in the comments why you participate here and share your own blogging journey with us.

Please may we respectfully ask from each and every participant that you keep sharing, and promoting Senior Salon on your own blog? We do require and need your help to keep #SeniSal growing, and the only way we can grow, would be for you to share your links, but also to tell your own followers to come and participate.

Hey, do not forget to share your 2 links at the 3 Reasons why to join #151 Senior Salon
I think my reasons for joining here are similar to others: I have learned a lot from reading favorite readers and new one. I occasionally try recipes. I still have some zucchini muffins in my freezer and tomorrow I am making baked ravioli. I love the connections with bloggers from all over the world and participating in Senior Salon has certainly increased my readership, so I am grateful.
I am guessing it would be some work to learn what is needed to be a co-host, but if you have not gotten offers, have you considered doing what they do on television shows? Invite some of your top bloggers to consider co-hosting for a month or two at a time, and perhaps the right person will emerge that way. It is always easy to have good ideas for other people, so forgive me, please.
Hi Michele, THank you so much for your input and for sharing your reasons why you have joined us. This is awesome to hear your feedback and I am so glad that you have also had time to try some of the recipes shared. If you ever try any of those that I share, please may I respectfully ask if and when you have a moment to pop back to that particular recipe, rate it and add a review. Thank you in advance. As for learning to co-host, truly it’s so easy to do. Please let me know if you would be interested then we can start with you. I would love to have you on board. I have in fact asked some other members, but to date have not received anyone to help out. Thanks and I appreciate your input and sharing ideas.
Hi Esme, my reasons are 1. To share my blog, 2. To read other people’s blogs, 3. I receive feedback on my blog by reading and responding to the comments, 4. I feel part of a community of bloggers because I regularly meet up with them at Linkups. Christina
Hi Christina, Thank you for sharing your reasons with us. I hope that you do get feedback from others and enjoy reading and sharing posts.

Hi Esmé,
Here are the three reasons why I join in with #Senisal.
1. Because it allows me to present my blog post to a new audience who may then decide whether to follow my blog or not.
2. Because I love getting into discussions on my blog and on the blogs of other bloggers. Being able to promote a post here will hopefully mean others will come over to join the discussion.
3. To read and comment on other posts here that may be of interest to me.
I hope that helps.
Thanks so much for hosting #Senisal.
Hi Hugh. Thank you so much for your great response and for outlining your 3 reasons. This is exactly what I hoped to achieve with #Senisal and you have captured the most important reasons. I truly hope that you do get lots of interaction on your posts, as I love reading them but do not always leave a response. I should respond more, but …
Oh, I only leave a comment on a post when I think I have something of value to add, Esmé. To me, blogs with lots of short comments left on them make the blog look empty and uninspiring if all anyone can say is ‘Great post.’ It’s much better to give the author of the blog some feedback about their post. I know how much I appreciate it when a reader leaves me a comment that adds value and clearly shows that they’ve read the post. It gives me one of the best feelings knowing that what I have written has motivated readers to get involved. Better still, when I’m told that what I have written has inspired a post.
Hugh, I totally and wholeheartedly agree with you. A good well thought response means way more than as you put it “logs with lots of short comments left on them make the blog look empty and uninspiring if all anyone can say is ‘Great post.’” I also love to read and know that it’s of value and made an impact of some sort and that the reader did benefit in some way and that the post inspired them in a way.
Thanks for always being such a good reader and commenter.
I agree with Michele–thank you for all you do! I joined with Senior Salon today in hopes of getting my blog posts out to more people and to see what others have written.
Barbara, thank you for your support and for sharing why you joined #Senisal. Yes, the more eyeballs we can get on our work, the better. Please make sure to use your own eyeballs and read, comment, and share the posts of others. I will read and share posts throughout the week.
Thanks so much for all you do!
Michele, thank you for always being here and being part of #Senisal. I truly hope that you do find benefit and that your posts do receive some views, comments and shares.
