Description

Perfect and delicious savory handΒ pies and such easy to makeΒ Half Moon Steak Pies.Β 


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 250 g steak
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves fresh grated garlic
  • Aromat (all-purpose savory seasoning)
  • Robertson Steak and Chops spice
  • Robertson Traditional Braai mix
  • 2 teaspoon Corn starch, Maize Starch, or Corn Flour (Maizena)
  • 30 ml of water

Instructions

  1. Braise onion in oil. add cubed steak.
  2. Add garlic and above spices and cook until soft and succulent.
  3. Lastly, make a paste with cornflour and water, then remove it from the stovetop when the sauce thickens.
  4. 24 Round butter pastry shells
  5. Put filling in the center and fold over like a half-moon and cut 1 slit in the center and sealed well.
  6. Brush over with well-beaten egg and sprinkle assorted seeds over it.
  7. Chia seeds, sesame seeds, and colored sesame seeds
  8. Bake for 26min @ 180 C / 350F until golden brown.
