This is my version of Homemade Spicy Sausage Rolls. Puff Pastry makes it so easy to prepare instead of the traditional shortcrust pastry.

A sausage is a type of meat product usually made from ground meat—often pork, beef, or poultry—along with salt, spices, and other flavorings. Other ingredients, such as grains or breadcrumbs may be included as fillers or extenders.

Description

Why would you try something different, as this is the best one and you will never try and eat anything else.  Enjoy


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 kilo sausage of your choice (I do not remove from casing)
  • 2 rolls of Puff pastry
  • Cheese, optional
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Fry the sausages for 10 minutes in very little oil
  2. Remove, allow to cool
  3. Cut up into the size of your choice
  4. Cut pastry, sprinkle with dried mixed herbs
  5. Sprinkle little cheese
  6. Place a piece of sausage
  7. Wrap gently
  8. Seal edges
  9. Brush with egg
  10. Sprinkle with more dried spices
  11. Refrigerate 30 mins
  12. Bake at 200C / 400F until golden brown
  13. Enjoy
