  1. THANK YOU for featuring my Christmas Cake & Rum Balls! I sell baked goods on eBay, and this is always a hectic time for me ~ with my Seasonal Assortment of cookies being a top seller (plus the assortments I need to bake for family & friends). So far, I’ve made about 20 kinds of cookies…. some are frozen ~ some are icebox slice & bake logs ~ some are just the homemade dough to scoop & bake. Taking a break now after making 8 dozen Christmas chocolate chip, plus an extra 2 dozen gingersnaps, and 3 dozen twisted Candy Cane cookies to round out 3 Assortments (all going to the same customer tomorrow) ~ WHEW! … My husband says my hair smells like cookies this time of year (lol). Take care and see y’all “on the other side” ……

    • WOW you did a lot of baking. Our daughter and I also did our traditional yearly baking session this past Saturday and ended up with 5 different types of cookies with 4 of them being 6 cups of flour batches Sugar cookies, lemon cookies, shortbread cookies and condensed milk cookies and the 5th one a double batch of date coconut balls. In the past we have double what we made this year, but as I am not working (retired now) I do not need the 20-30 gift bags filled with cookies for all the staff at the office, so we decided to scale down dramatically. We had so much fun. Thanks for sharing your recipes with us and I hope you have managed to finalize your baking. Enjoy and have fun.
