Spinach and Artichoke Ziti

Ziti bake is perfect to make ahead and this Spinach and Artichoke Ziti bake is delicious and will be welcomed by all your vegetarian members.

Ziti is an extruded pasta, originating in Campania. They are shaped into long, wide tubes, about 25 cm long, that need to be broken by hand into smaller pieces before cooking. Ziti has similarities to bucatini but is much thicker.

Can you freeze baked ziti before baking?

When storing for later, make sure you cover the casserole dish tightly with aluminum foil. Sometimes I’ll double up on the foil to prevent freezer burn. This easy casserole can last for up to 5 months in the freezer if it’s tightly packaged. Freezer prior to baking for best results.

  1. Hi Esme 🙂

That baked ziti looks so delicious….I plan on trying that with some gluten free pasta. I don’t have spinach, but will use brocolini leaves from the farmer market. I may add in some mushrooms. Have a great Pink Saturday!
