June 10 is National Egg Roll Day in the US, and that means it’s time you can grab a few for yourself to celebrate, but make your own Vegetable Egg Rolls!
Egg rolls are a variety of deep-fried appetizers served in American Chinese restaurants. An egg roll is a cylindrical, savory roll with shredded cabbage, chopped pork, and other fillings inside a thickly-wrapped wheat flour skin, which is fried in hot oil.
What are Vegetable Egg Rolls made of?
These egg rolls are made with egg roll wrappers (which you can find at most grocery stores over by all the tofu in the produce section, well at least at Kroger) shredded cabbage and carrots, green onion, soy sauce, vinegar, ginger powder, and garlic powder.
What is the difference between an egg roll and a vegetable roll?
Spring rolls are usually filled with fresh vegetables, whereas egg rolls are filled with a combination of savory meat and vegetables.
Vegetable egg rolls are made with shredded cabbage and carrots, green onion, and seasonings and are fried up in a matter of minutes!
What is a vegan egg roll wrapper made of?
Most egg roll wrapper brands are vegan and made with wheat flour, water, coconut oil, and salt. I still recommend checking the ingredients on the package to make sure.
Is Vegetable Roll Keto Friendly?
Spring Rolls are not keto-friendly because they are high in carbs and they contain sugar and vegetable oil.
