Description

The dessert includes a variety of aromatic spices such as cardamom, saffron, and nutmeg, which add a delightful fragrance and taste to the dish. These spices not only enhance the flavor of Dodri but also have numerous health benefits, making the dessert a perfect blend of taste and nutrition.


Ingredients

  • 1 liter full cream milk
  • 200ml Maizena
  • 30ml Golden Syrup
  • 125 ml treacle brown sugar
  • 125g butter
  • 7 ml fine cardamon (Elachi)
  • Poppy seeds
  • Flaked almonds

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a saucepan and stir with a whisk.
  2. Heat gradually until the mixture thickens like custard
  3. Grease the Pyrex dish with spray and cook before pouring the mixture into the dish
  4. Sprinkle with poppy seeds and, almonds
  5. Bake, at 180°C/ 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes
  6. Allow cooling
  7. Cut into diamond shape blocks or square blocks

    1. I am sure that you will be able to decrease the sugar if you wish to try this out. I typically never use all the sugar in any recipe and I think here it will work to decrease it so give it a try.
