A new week with new beginnings as well as a new month with InLinkz 224 Senior Salon Pit Stop.
Senior Salon Pit Stop is now OPEN.
Let’s have fun, read, enjoy, comment, and share away!
Welcome and see you soon at this week’s linkup!
I had a good and productive week, fortunately and I am happy to report no computer and blog gremlins this time. How did your week go? Did your week go according to plan? Are you taking a reprieve from blogging during the summer period or not?
If you missed last week’s newsletter you can quickly visit and see what’s up.
Welcome to our InLinkz 224 Senior Salon Pit Stop
Linkup Party time: The doors will always open on Monday at 2 am PST
and the party ends on a Saturday at 2 pm PST (Vancouver BC Canadian time),
so this should give you sufficient time to drop a max of 3 links per blog!
Please remember, although the linkup will close at 2 pm on a Saturday afternoon, you can still visit those posts and leave a comment on any posts. I am sure that the author/blogger will appreciate it tremendously when they find your comment on a post and that you showed some love! If you wish to read some of the posts from last week, then please visit 223 Senior Salon Pit Stop. Thank you so much for your help and participation.
Our InLinkz 224 Senior Salon Pit Stop party ends Saturday, August 6, 2022, at 2 pm PST
Blogger of the week
Congratulations to Cindy for this post: Healthier SWEET and SOUR PORK, with pineapple & bell peppers, and for being our blogger of the week.
Noteworthy items to mention …
I am sharing an email (full content as per Tracie Fobes). I think this is useful information, thus wish to share what she wrote in the email I received.
On July 27th, Google shared some news about the end of the third-party tracking cookie. They call it the Privacy Sandbox.
The changes were supposed to take place through this year and into 2023 but they have put that off. They now intend to phase them out in Chrome in the second half of 2024.
So, you are probably asking yourself — what does this mean, and more importantly – how does it affect me??
Right now, when you visit a site (or your readers do), a tracking cookie starts watching you. It monitors where you go.
Let’s say you visit Amazon and look at an air fryer. The next thing you notice is that you go to another site and see an ad for the same air fryer. That’s a tracking cookie.
The issue here has to do with our ads and how those will be served to our visitors. The networks are trying to figure this out so that it is still a way to earn money on your site….but we don’t know how that looks.
You might think that this will affect affiliate marketing…but it will not. Those links are first-party cookies and that is not part of what is going away. (Whew!)
You might be worried about ads and your overall monetization strategy because of this. But don’t be.
We don’t know how this is all going to work out. Rest assured that the ad networks are also aggressively researching this and trying to see how that looks for them.
Don’t stress about this right now but it is important to not be as heavily reliant on ads as the main income source.
Diversify your income. Make sure you really get SEO so you can get traffic to your affiliate marketing posts. And, if you can do so, create products or learn more about sponsored posts to add more revenue streams to your site.
You can read the entire Google Blog Post for more details.

Happy to hear that you had a gremlin free week!
Thanks Michele. Phew thank goodness the gremlins had enough of my blog for the time being.
