Let’s celebrate our quasquihebdomades anniversary!

Are you ready, for the new week of #85 (or in fact the125th) Senior Salon?

The word quasquicentennial, meaning 125th anniversary, was engineered by… well, an engineer! In 1961, Frank W. Hatten of Delavan, Illinois, asked Funk & Wagnalls, publishers of a popular encyclopedia and dictionaries (now online only), what word could be coined to mean 125th anniversary.

For any of you that know Latin, so please forgive me but the best I could concoct on such short notice would be quasquihebdomades (125 weeks) as I could not get hold of Ken Galloway to help me out on this one 😍

Believe it or not, but despite the fact that we show this to be our 85th #Senisal (2019 and 2020), it should actually ready 125th from inception in March 2018.

Dear #SeniSal members,

Yes, it’s true, and hard to believe but we have reached out 125th weekly edition of #Senisal.  I started with this in March 2018.  Foolishily, in 2019 I restarted at #1 again, which I should never have done.  Anyway, I calculated that this week we celebrate our 125th edition here of #SeniSal.

Come, let us all make a special effort and share this post together with the link/s you leave here today.
