The First Attempt in Learning brings the Next Opportunity and your Effort Never Dies

Are you ready, for the new week of #84 Senior Salon?

Aug 10 – Aug 15, 2020, 2:00 pm PST

Dear #SeniSal members,

After my first week of retirement, I have had the opportunity to get so much more done, and I have already learned so much more Blogging related than in all the other years combined.

Last week I spoke about the low interaction and sharing of the weekly Senisal and received feedback and it seems like we may have some gremlins, as members confirmed that they do share the post weekly.  Thank you to one and all that does share the post, and please accept my humble apologies.  I have made some changes on my side and truly hope that this will solve the problem.  Please keep me posted, should you notice some more gremlins 😔

We still need YOUR help to share the weekly POST EACH AND EVERY WEEK when you leave your link.   If each one of you can take 2 minutes to hit the share button, can you think how wide this message will spread out and how many more participants we will have!  Please friends, we need your support.  The more you give, the more you will receive.  This is part of Caring for one another!

I stumbled on a very good sign written on a post-board.  Unfortunately, I am unable to give credit to the author, as I have no idea where this originated as it was passed along to me.

Anyway, I would love to share this in a different format with you today with a little twist of my own!.

WHAT COMES TO MIND WHEN YOU HEAR THE WORD F.A.I.L.?

Fail verb (NOT SUCCEED), to not succeed in what you are trying to achieve or are expected to do:

  • She moved to London in the hope of finding work as a model but failed.
  • This method of growing tomatoes never fails.
  • He failed in his attempt to break the record.
  • She failed to reach the Wimbledon final this year.
  • The reluctance of either side to compromise means that the talks are doomed to (= will certainly) fail.

If all else fails as explained in the Cambridge Dictionary

WHAT COMES TO MIND WHEN YOU HEAR THE WORD E.N.D.?

End Verb (TO FINISH OR STOP), to finish or stop, or to make something finish or stop:

  • When is your meeting due to end?
  • Her resignation ends months of speculation about her future.
  • Their marriage ended in 1991.
  • The game ended in a draw.
  • I’d like to end with a song from my first album.
  • She ended her speech on an optimistic note

End: To finish or Stop as explained in the Cambridge Dictionary

WHAT COMES TO MIND WHEN YOU HEAR THE WORD N.O.?

No – determiner – Not any; not one; not a:

  • There’s no butter left.
  • There are no pockets in these trousers.
  • That’s my kind of holiday – no email, no phone, and no worries.
  • There’s no chance (= no possibility) of us getting there by eight.

No or Not – as explained in the Cambridge Dictionary

F.A.I.L.     +     N.O.     +     E.N.D.

First Attempt in Learning

Next Opportunity

Effort Never Dies

Going forward I will never see these words without looking back at this and keep going, and never take N.O. for an answer and think of F.A.I.L. in the negative and see the E.N.D. but I will use this as a mantra going and forging forward, day by day, week by week and year to year!

#84 Senior Salon

Thanks for your loyal support.  Please may we respectfully ask each and every participant that you keep sharing, and promoting Senior Salon on your own blog?  We do require and need your help to keep #SeniSal growing and the only way we can grow, would be for you to share your links, but also to tell your own followers to come and participate.

We have two banners you can choose from to promote Senior Salon.   Thank you for being part of this weekly feature.

We welcome all new bloggers and some bloggers that shared posts before that returned and shared again.  We hope that you enjoy the camaraderie and will come back weekly!

The more new friends we get, the more wonderful posts we can read and share. In doing so you also promote and get your own posts shared more widely, so this will be in your own benefit as well.

Thanks, that we can count on your support ♥.

When you are being featured as a WINNER in our Weekly Roundup post, please share our #Senisal Featured Winner Banner on your blog or your post

TOP 10 Senisal POSTS

Please revisit last week’s Senior Salon as we received some great and wonderful posts.  The fact that the entries closed, does not mean that you are unable to visit and read, comment, and share those posts.

We continue to ask for your support and help to share our weekly post throughout the week when you come to share your post via Inlinkz.  If you do not share and help #SeniSal will not be able to survive.  This is as much for you all as it’s for your hosts and we really ask for your weekly support in sharing the Monday post on your social media and add the #Senisal Banner to the post that you share and the Winner Banner when you made the TOP 10 list.

By sharing the TOP 10, I hope this will encourage you to make a conscious effort to get your post also listed in the TOP 10 MOST POPULAR LIST.  Instead of having the top 10 most popular songs, we now feature the TOP 10 MOST POPULAR POSTS.

The doors to #84 Senior Salon OPENED,
please share this POST on your SM
and share your own blog link!

  1. What a great way to look at these concepts! I read somewhere that Edison failed several hundred times in creating the light bulb, but considered each attempt just a step in the process.
