My little one requested his favourite meal for supper last night to round off the school holidays, the classic Steak, Egg & ChipsπŸ’—
Recipe for Steaks belowπŸ˜‰
Ingredients
6 steaks of your choice
2 tbs steak and chops spice
1 tbs Robertson’s rustic garlic and herb spice
1 tbs chilli powder
1 tbs olive
To fry:
2 tbs olive oil
2 tbs butter
Few sprigs fresh thyme
Method:
Marinade steaks in spices and 1 tbs olive oil for minimum 1 hour or overnight in refrigerator.
Heat olive oil, butter and thyme (must be very hot), sear and brown the steaks on each side quickly to seal in the flavour and juices.
Place on a rack in an oven tray and bake in a preheated oven @ 180 degrees Celsius for +-10 or until done to your liking.
Remove steaks from oven, cover in foil and rest for +-10 minutes before serving, this will ensure that the juices equally redistribute in the steak and does not ooze out when the steaks are cut, resulting in a delicious & juicy steak.
