This Jack Daniels Tiramisu contains copious amounts of whiskey so be warned and scroll past if not for you.
Tiramisu is a soft, creamy Italian dessert.
Zabaglione
6 egg yolks
3/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp Kahlua
500gr Mascarpone cheese
1 cup cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
Syrup
1 cup boiling water
2 tbsp sugar
1 heaped tbsp Italian coffee
3 tbsp Jack Daniels
(Mix together till sugar is dissolved. Set aside to cool). Pour into a flat dish.
Boudoir biscuits
Cocoa for dusting
Method
Heat saucepan on stove add egg yolks and sugar and whisk until combined.
Bring to a boil. Keep stirring till thickened.
Remove from heat and whisk in Kahlua. Cool.
Cover custard directly with cling wrap onto custard to avoid skin forming and refrigerate for an hour.
In a stand mixer beat the mascarpone until smooth on medium speed (about 1 minute).
Add the cream and whip until stiff (5 minutes).
Then add vanilla and beat on low till combined.
Fold in custard with a spatula until combined.
Dip biscuits one by one and line a 7×11 dish.
Do not soak the biscuits.
Add half the mixture.
At this point, I scattered grated aero bubble mint.
Dip and layer another layer of biscuits followed by the zabaglione mixture.
Dust with cocoa and refrigerate for 24 hours.
