Pasta is a type of food typically made from an unleavened dough of wheat flour mixed with water or eggs and formed into sheets or other shapes, then cooked by boiling or baking.  Here we use Lasagna for this specific recipe.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 kg mince
  • 1 packet of diced bacon, optional
  • Green and red pepper
  • Sliced mushrooms
  • A dash of Salt
  • A dash of Pepper
  • A dash of Thyme
  • A dash of Rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon of Masala
  • 1/2 tsp ginger and garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • Lasagna sheets, uncooked
  • 2 packet Knorr cheese sauce
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 can tomato and onion mix
  • 1 cup of Mozzarella cheese (as needed)
  • 1 cup of Gouda cheese (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Fry bacon in little oil for 5 minutes
  2. In a separate pot heat oil
  3. Add mince and all the spices
  4. Add ginger and garlic paste
  5. Cook mince for 15 minutes
  6. Then add bacon bits
  7. Add mushrooms and pepper
  8. Add tomato paste and canned tomatoes
  9. Cook for 40 minutes on medium to low heat
  10. Next, make the cheese sauce according to the directions on the packet
  11. In a casserole dish, start to layer
  12. First, place lasagna sheets
  13. Then place mince over the pasta
  14. Then spoon some of the cheese sauce over the mince
  15. Then Sprinkle with a little of both kinds of cheese
  16. Place more sheets over
  17. Carry on until you have 3 layers
  18. You should end with the cheese sauce
  19. Sprinkle generously with cheese
  20. Cook in the oven at 180C / 350F for 60 mins
  21. Remove from oven
  22. Allow sitting for 15 minutes before serving
  23. Enjoy
