Chicken Tikka Masala

Chicken tikka masala is a dish consisting of roasted marinated chicken chunks in spiced curry sauce. The curry is usually creamy and orange-colored. The dish was popularized by cooks from the Indian subcontinent living in Great Britain and is offered at restaurants around the world.

Yield: 6 portions

BBQ or Oven Baked Chicken Tikka

Chicken pieces marinated in Tikka marinade and BBQ'd
Marinate Time 12 hours
Cook Time 1 hour 30 minutes
Total Time 13 hours 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • I kg chicken pieces
  • 2 tsp Kashmiri masala
  • 1 tsp ginger and garlic paste
  • Salt, pepper
  • Mixed herbs
  • 5 Tbsp. of Aminas Tikka marinade
  • ¼ cup sour milk

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken with all these spices, Kashmiri masala, garlic paste, salt, pepper, mixed herbs, Aminas Tikka Marinade, and sour cream.
  2. Overnight or for a couple of hours
  3. Cook over hot coal
  4. If you're using the oven, bake for 1½ hrs in the oven at 180 degrees Celcius / 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

  1. I love Indian food! My recipes are vegan however those curry sauces and spices make those vegetables and lentils and chickpeas taste amazing!
