Goodbye store-bought tasteless rolls, hallo Homemade Beautiful Burger Rolls.
Store-bought rolls are another thing altogether, some are burnt, some are raw, some are stale and sometimes the plain rolls are old sold out.
Ingredients
- 250ml milk
- 125ml water
- ¼ cup margarine
- 4½ cups cake flour
- 1 packet of instant yeast
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1½ tsp salt
- 1 egg

Method:
In a small saucepan, heat milk, water, and margarine until warm.
This mixture must not boil.
Just hot enough so the margarine melts and steam starts coming out of the pan
In a large bowl, mix together 1 3/4 cup flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
Mix milk mixture into the flour mixture, and then mix in the egg.
Stir in the remaining flour, ½ cup at a time, beating well after each addition.
When the dough has pulled together, turn it out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes.
Divide dough into 12 equal pieces.
Shape into smooth balls, and place on a greased baking sheet.
Flatten slightly. Cover, and let rise for 30 to 35 minutes.
Bake at 180C for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown.
For an added extra sprinkle some sesame seeds over the top before baking.
These rolls come out so massive and are so soft and a perfect combination to go with your homemade burger patties.
Goodbye store-bought tasteless rolls.
