Spicy Sticky Mozambique Sauce Chicken

Description
Ready to turn up the heat on your dinner? Try our Spicy Sticky Mozambique Sauce Chicken! This dish will take your taste buds on a wild journey to the heart of Mozambique.
Ingredients
- 1 kg Chicken fillets – Wash and cut up.
Marinate chicken with the following:
- 3 tsp Maiziena/ corn flour/ Corn starch
- 2 tsp flour
- 1 egg
- A pinch of Salt
- A pinch of Pepper
- A large pinch or two of Thyme
- A large pinch or two of Rosemary
- 1 tsp ginger and garlic paste.
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp masala
Sauce
- 2 tsp honey
- 3 tsp Nandos Sauce (Mozambique)/ or your choice
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- Make a slurry of the 2 tsp corn flour with 1/4 cup water.
Instructions
- Prepare the marinade and leave it in the fridge for 60 minutes.
- Wash and cut the chicken fillets into bite-size pieces.
- Fry chicken in deep oil until golden in color
- Remove from oil, set aside.
- For the sauce, add all ingredients except for cornflour slurry mix, in a pan. *
- Allow to simmer, then add cornflour slurry mix.
- Cook for 1 minute.
- Pour over chicken, mix gently until chicken is covered in sauce.

Hi Angie, You can adapt and make it as mellow or spicy as you with by swopping out the Nandos Sauce (Mozambique) to any sauce of your choice. These listed does come in different spicy-strength. I for one am not a spicy person, so I tend to swop this for something like BBQ sauce.
